Do you feel overwhelmed every time you travel?, do you fill your suitcase with lots of “just in case”?, and would you like it to pack itself? We do not know how to do the latter yet, but we would also love it to happen. We get you and that’s the reason we are convinced that this article will make your live easier!
Having to pack a suitcase means that sooner or later you are going to spend some time away from your usual residence: from one night to months away from the place where you live in. It is precisely in that space where you have all your belongings (clothes, shoes, hygiene products, makeup, accessories, etc.) and where you know that, no matter how tidy or messy you are, you will end up finding what you are looking for.
Packing your suitcase involves grouping all these items and being convinced that you have chosen the ones you need for your stay away from home. Therefore, to be honest, it is normal to have doubts and exasperate when we do it, we do not want to forget anything!
Here are some tips for packing your suitcase. In this way, you will not have any problem and you will take all the necessary items with you:
- Make sure you have a suitcase of appropiat size
Depending on the length of your stay and the amount of clothes and objects you would take with you, you will need a smaller or biger suitcase or even more than one.
2. Plan in advance
A few days before check-in, it is highly recommended to write down on a piece of paper or in your phone notes what is very important to you. As the days go by and you think about what you are going to take with you, you can add or delete items. The Palm Experience team has prepared a list of your holidays must-haves. Download it! 🙂

Although nature is unpredictable, and a day that started out mostly sunny can end up being a rainy day, meteorologists offer us the forecasts of the weather for the next few days. Therefore, we can choose the clothes that best suit the weather at our destination.
Our 5 hotels are located on the coasts of the Mediterranean Sea (Costa del Sol, Costa de Almería and Costa Dorada), so the climate is generally warm and temperatures are high.
4. Prepare outfits
Think of a complete outfit (top, bottom and shoes) for each day and take some clothes from the opposite climate: if you go to a summer destination take a jacket. You never know if at some point in your trip you will have to deal with air conditioning, for example.
When packing your clothes in your suitcase, you can follow the traditional method of folding them like when you put them in the closet or roll them up so that they occupy as little space as possible.
5. Single use bottles
Since traveling has become a much more accessible activity for everyone, stores and supermarkets sell personal hygiene products ready to arrive home and put them directly into your vanity case. You can find them as a “travel kit or set”.
At The Palm Experience Hotels we provide the client with gel dispensers, both in the shower and in the bathroom, so you can leave the gel bottle at home.
6. Put the heaviest items at the bottom of the suitcase
Shoes, coats and towels are usually the heaviest items. Putting them at the bottom of the suitcase will make everything you put on top of them wrinkle much less.
If you are staying at one of our hotels you do not need to bring towels of any kind. We have towels for the shower and pool, so you will save a little more space.

Reserve a little space for any possible shopping you might do at your vacation destination. You may want to buy a souvenir to remember your holidays in the future or to bring a souvenir for a beloved one.
8. You can always buy what you are missing once you are there
If you have already arrived at your vacation spot and you realize there that you have forgotten something, remember that you can always buy it near the hotel.
In the end, holidays are a time you have been looking forward to all year. We cannot let the fact that we have forgotten to pack a certain item of clothing or object ruin our trip. Packing is also part of the trip and we should enjoy it.
